Student Castle Cancellation Policy (Scotland): Get in touch and tell us straight away. How much we can help will depend on the timing and the circumstances of your cancellation. Once you have paid your holding deposit and you have been allocated a room, then should you decide to cancel prior to the start of the licence period you will be entitled to a full refund of the Holding Deposit. If you decide to cancel after the start of your licence period then you will be held to the terms of your licence agreement. The deposit can be used to cover any outstanding rent in these circumstances.
Covid-19: As a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Scottish Government has introduced the Coronavirus (Scotland) (No. 2) Bill. This allows renters to give 28 days notice to quit their license to occupy, whatever the length of their license agreement.
For 2021/22 academic year bookings, if you meet any of the conditions below, you will be able to cancel your booking and receive a full refund of your Holding Deposit and any paid rent payments:
No Visa No Pay: If you do not get your visa to come and study in the UK, you must send us the visa application rejection letter within 72 hours of receiving it. This policy is valid until 20 August 2021.
No Place No Pay: If you fail to gain the required qualifications and is not accepted into the University, you need to send us the university rejection letter, or proof that the exam results don’t meet the requirements of the university. You must send us the proof documents within 72 hours of receiving them. This policy is valid until 20 August 2021. Please send your request and the supporting official documents to the respective schemes email. Should you fail to provide the necessary information within 72 hours, your Holding Deposit will be retained as a cancellation fee. We reserve the right to withdraw the offer at any time.

From the train station
Edinburgh Waverley Railway Station is less than a mile away - a 25-minute walk or 12 minutes if you jump in a taxi.

All your utility bills (including super-fast broadband and WiFi) are included, as is contents insurance for your room.
Most of our students pay for their entire stay in one easy upfront payment. However, it’s possible to pay in three installments if you have a UK guarantor – this is a person (not a company or government) who lives and works full time in the UK, is willing to submit to a credit check, and can commit to paying your rent if you fail to do so.
