Safestay Edinburgh Cowgate housed in a beautiful and spacious Grade A listed building, located on one of the oldest thoroughfares in the Scottish capital. Cowgate – literally used as the route for driving cattle to market from as early as the 1490s – is now well known for its lively pub, club, bar, restaurant and cafe scene.
Safestay Edinburgh Cowgate is within walking distance of Edinburgh’s most popular attractions and sites including a 2 minute walk to the Royal Mile and 10 minutes to Edinburgh Castle.
Safestay Edinburgh Cowgate presents you plentiful communal spaces, bar and 230 beds in a variety of room combinations – from 8 bed dorms to two-bed private rooms with ensuite facilities – typical of all Safestay hostels.

Those under the age of 18 cannot stay in shared dorms, on their own.
A valid photo ID such as passport, national identity cards, driver’s licence, national military service card, etc is required at check-in. Please note that student cards are not accepted as valid ID.
Our private twin & double have towels included. For the shared dorms, you can bring your own, rent or buy a towel from reception.

Szuper helyen, az óvárosban. Nagyon barátságos és segítőkész személyzet, felső bőrönd tárolási szolgáltatás. A szoba 5 fő számára elég nagy volt.
Location is excellent. Luggage storage. Individual lamps in bed. Quiet at night.
Location and facilities
It's right in the city centre, there are huge lockers in each room.
Lots of windows and ventilation in the room and surrounding corridors. Nice central location but not very noisy.
